## A big step closer to making the impossible, possible

### People living with HIV in Australia can now get full life insurance.

### Sapience Financial is proud to announce the launch of its new online life insurance pre-assessment service called unusualrisks.com.au providing confidential support to people with well-managed HIV or diabetes so they can get their life insurance sorted

We believe that equal access to Life Insurance (and Life Insurance products) is a human right. “and that everyone deserves a fail go free of stigma and discrimination.

Over the years we've seen the frustration that people with specialty medical conditions have experienced when trying to deal with a life insurance company. We've also seen the discrimination they faced because of their medical condition and their perceived sexuality. Yes, HIV is no longer considered a death sentence but now a chronic disease but dealing with a life insurance company and disclosing sensitive medical information to strangers is still a major barrier to many people.

- Up till now nobody was prepared to take leadership on this issue and people with pre-existing health conditions were without a specialty advocate.
- That’s now changed with the arrival of unusualrisks.com.au

The website unusualrisks.com.au is currently undergoing extensive user testing and when formally launched in February 2014, will provide an anonymous online pre-assessment service specifically for people looking for life insurance (or related services) who have been diagnosed with HIV or diabetes.
