Over the years we've seen the frustration that people with specialty medical conditions have experienced when trying to deal with a life insurance company. We've also seen the discrimination they faced because of their medical condition and their perceived sexuality. Yes, HIV is no longer considered a death sentence but now a chronic disease but dealing with a life insurance company and disclosing sensitive medical information to strangers is still a major barrier to many people.

Up till now nobody was prepared to take leadership on this issue and people with pre-existing health conditions were without a specialty advocate.
